Individual Therapy

Whether you’re new or experienced with IFS, or not yet sure, there’s room for you in the therapy room. I bring a gentle and comforting presence to the process. I’ll infuse humor and art when appropriate as well. I invite you to bring every bit of yourself with you: anger, sadness, fear, joy, silliness, and so on. I work with people from age 14 and up.

For beginners of IFS, I will show you what the process will be like. We can discuss recent events for you and whatever feelings and emotions arose. This can help us map parts. This can either allow us to go into the IFS process. Or, if you’d prefer, we can stay in this style and have more of a traditional talk therapy session.

If you’re familiar with IFS or know what you want to work on, we can dive right in and explore, connecting with and getting to know your parts.

If you’re feeling uncertain what exactly you want to work on, we can ground into presence and wait for something to call for your attention. This process helps increase awareness of the internal process moment-to-moment.

Part of what I will be assisting you with is empowering you to listen to your system and see what it needs. I will be a humble guide, privileged to listen and be witness to your blossoming.

This process can feel meditative and associative. Sometimes you might feel like there are things popping up for you that aren’t related to what’s being worked on, but I invite you to trust that everything that arises from you is part of the process. It may feel confusing at times, but this is how I can be of help as a guide.

A benefit of IFS is that it can incorporate every part of you. So whether you’re looking for help with depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, ADHD, and so on, there is space for it all in the IFS process.

Throughout all of this, you will be in control of where we go and how therapy looks for you.
