About Me
For me, therapy feels more like a calling than a career. It has been a winding journey to get here, but every experience along the way has shaped how I practice today. Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Focusing modalities have allowed me to synthesize my life experiences and pursuits, making it a joy to help guide people toward understanding themselves and remembering who they truly are. A core belief that drives my practice is that we all deserve to be free and happy. I recognize that people are often doing the best they can within their unique circumstances. Because of this, I offer grace while also understanding that we can still work toward something better. I believe collective liberation is possible when we engage in compassionate and courageous inner and outer work.
In terms of identity, I am a genderqueer and neurodivergent person. I navigate a fluctuating spectrum of disability due to autoimmune issues. I have also experienced serious illnesses like Lyme disease. Throughout my life, I’ve worked various jobs from farming and teaching to service industry and support staff and lived in places like New Jersey, Colorado, Peru, Georgia, California, and Pennsylvania. During these experiences, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with and learning from many people from many different walks of life. I have been in West Philadelphia since 2020, and feel fortunate to be connected to the people here.
I am also a poet and deeply enjoy the creative process. My spirituality is informed by meditation, contemplation, poetry, and experiences in diverse communities. In my free time, I love reading, writing, meditating, playing with my cats, practicing yoga, and spending sweet, silly moments with friends and community.
I enjoy working with artists, activists, writers, teachers, spiritual seekers, fellow social workers and therapists, queer and trans people, people in non-monogamous relationship styles, neurodivergent people, people with chronic illness, teens and/or their parents, and anyone interested in exploring the experience of being alive on this earth.
